中選會自2012年起就開始用紙製投票匭，由於傳統投票匭有製作、搬運、維修及保管等缺點，故中選會及各地選委會自2014年起即已使用紙製投票匭辦理投開票作業，並漸次汰換及取代傳統投票匭。（資料：中選會新聞稿 2022/9/13）
