被害人加入投資群組後，詐騙集團成員於群組內佯裝「投資老師」、「會員」等人，遊說民眾登錄投資網站或下載投資APP，佯稱可以匯款或面交現金方式投資股票、虛擬貨幣等，保證獲利、翻倍獲利云云，被害人因而受騙而登錄投資網站或下載投資APP，殊不知此等投資網站或APP均為造假。
