日本厚生勞動大臣加藤勝信召開記者會表示，新一波確診病患皆為乘客，其中廿一人是日本籍，另廿人包括八名美國人、五名澳洲人、五名加拿大人、一名阿根廷人及一名英國人，病患分送醫院治療。

不過，新增確診的四十一人無重症者，但五日及六日確診的廿名病患中有一人病情較嚴重。日本當局要求留在船上的三千六百多名乘客，須遵守早前規定，隔離滿十四天至2月十九日。
