新北市、苗栗縣、彰化縣、雲林縣、連江縣及金門縣等6縣市轄區內並無軍醫院或榮民醫院，行政院為落實對該等縣市的警、消、海巡及空勤人員比照軍人醫療照護的美意，也宣布若到指定部立、或縣立醫院，部分健保負擔由政府補助。
