過度樂觀。有研究指出荸薺含有已知具有抗氧化能力的葉黃素。葉黃素對於培養皿的肺癌細胞有抑制功能。然而培養皿和人體環境的條件是天差地遠,若真有此希望,不如直接吃葉黃素萃取物。而且若葉黃素有用,也必定被醫學界廣泛採用,輪不到荸薺
