繼下架中天電視新聞之後，政府準備再下架唯一非綠媒新聞台～ TVBS 新聞台。

但是，由於 TVBS新聞台是港媒，政府沒有採取直球對決，而是投出～變化球。

八大有線電視業者，向 NCC提出申請，要將收視率最高的TVBS新聞台由 55頻道，移至 158 頻道，將 55頻道讓給新成立的鏡新聞台。

鏡周刊近年來，頻頻作為政府的打手，終於得到回報，一償宿願～在 49～58黃金頻道上市～新聞台。

如果NCC核准 8大有線電視的申請，那麼49～58頻道，除了 56頻道TVBS綜合台之外，其他全部是～綠媒新聞台。
