衛生福利部表示：
六都因為人口總數多，受理性侵害通報案件原本就居全國22縣市之前六名。
另，根據衛生福利部107年性侵害案件統計資料顯示，兒少性侵害案件多為熟識者性侵害，其中12歲以下的被害人以親屬關係占3成4居多，也凸顯家庭內封閉的互動系統，缺少外控的監視力，讓家內性侵害案件更不易被覺察。
