黴漿菌傳染約每4～8年會在台灣發生一次大流行，而鄰近的中國不但疫情嚴重，台大兒童醫院小兒感染科醫師黃立民也受媒體訪問說明，黴漿菌在中國已有100％抗藥性，在台灣也有60～70％抗藥性，因此治療黴漿菌時須立即使用第二線抗生素，民眾除了遵照醫囑服用抗生素切勿自行停藥以外，若有出現咳嗽一星期未痊癒、發燒等症狀，都應盡速就醫
