事實上，金融時報此篇報導的標題是「對臺灣疫苗廠商的內線交易調查，掀開了更廣泛的問題」("Insider trading probe into Taiwan vaccine maker uncovers wider issues")，而非「高端疫苗疑內線交易案已讓蔡英文政府遭司法調查纏身」。後者只是針對此份報導的第一段文字的翻譯，而且翻譯得非常不正確。此段文字的正確翻譯應是：「一項針對臺灣的一家Covid-19疫苗廠商的內部交易調查，引發了人們對該國在金融監管上的更廣泛關注，並且纏住了蔡英文總統的施政。」("An insider trading probe into a Taiwanese maker of Covid-19 vaccines has raised wider concerns over financial oversight in the country and entangled the administration of President Tsai Ing-wen.") 報導中也提及蔡提醒民眾要提防在臺灣媒體上不斷增生的關於疫苗的假訊息("Tsai has urged citizens to be wary of fake news on the vaccination campaign, which has proliferated in Taiwanese media")。

此報導文章的重點在於指出：臺灣的金融監管機關常常缺乏必要的合法公權力來打擊內線交易("financial regulators often lack the legal authority necessary to crack down")，更以臺灣在2015年被判刑的一個內線交易案來舉例說明內線交易在臺灣的猖獗情形("Wang pointed to a high-profile case involving Ko Wen-chang, a former chair of Hewlett-Packard Taiwan.
