實際上根據道路交通安全規則，汽車行駛時因該要「順應車道」行駛，若是未根據路面車道線行駛，等同於要變換車道行駛，根據道路交通規則109條應先顯示欲變換車道方向之燈光，並應顯示至完成轉彎或變換車道之行為。
