粉末酒確實存在，但是是在國外才見得到，在台灣國內為保障消費者安全，財政部國庫署曾公告禁止進口粉末酒。內容如下： 粉末酒(又名Powdered Alcohol；Palcohol；酒粉等)之內容物為固體粉末，消費者不易瞭解其內含物，恐衍生非法流用、青少年濫用等安全疑慮，且其非屬民生必需品，為保障消費者安全，爰依菸酒管理法第4條、第10條及第16條之規定，不許可粉末酒進口及產製。 為降低風險，建議避免購買異常低價或來路不明的啤酒。
