歐盟藥品管理局（European Medicines Agency, EMA）認為，AstraZeneca疫苗對所有年齡層都是安全的。但人們擔心這種疫苗會引發罕見血栓，而且歐盟有更多疫苗可用。如果從施打（AZ疫苗）的風險效益比來看，仍然對所有年齡層有利。
