兒童評估三角是兒科醫師使用多年的標準，A是指外觀，包括肌肉張力是否異常、與人的互動、哭鬧能否安撫、眼神是否正常、哭聲是否正常，B是指呼吸的狀況，包括呼吸的聲音（如果出現哮喘可能是上呼吸道水腫）、呼吸姿勢（是否有頭抬高等異常）、打開衣服看看胸肋骨是否有陷落、鼻翼是否異常搧動，C則是指皮膚循環，包括變蒼白、紫白斑駁、發紺等。
