交通部觀光局彙整公布近 5 年補助台灣燈會主辦縣市政府辦理「燈區布展」及「交通接駁」兩大經費說明，除交通接駁受燈會主場地區位不同而有不同外，對於各地方政府燈區布展的補助經費均依例辦理，並無太大差異。交通部觀光局重申該局絕無台中市政府引述部分媒體報導屏 東縣政府籌辦燈會獲補助 3 億元情事。有關台中市政府籌辦 2020 台灣燈會申請 1 億元補助一節，業經交通部觀光局於本(108)年 6 月 28 日召開審議委員會議，已依過往補助模式依例辦理，額度不會少於其他縣市，對台中市不會有差別待遇，請勿以訛傳訛。
