遺傳諮詢專家、馬偕兒童醫院資深主治醫師林炫沛表示，性別的決定非僅是XX與XY那般單純，參與性別決定的基因有20幾個，在分化的過程中，XY 染色體只是決定胎兒性別的重要因素之一，並不是唯一的因素。
