總統府發言人黃重諺則說，由於勘災的社區積水狀況較廣，為了儘速抵達勘災點，在救災單位建議下，分別以高底盤大型軍卡、輪型甲車，搭載總統及媒體記者一行人到勘察點，抵達勘察點後，總統即與媒體記者全程涉水探視受災民眾，並多次進入民眾住所，了解災損情形。影片針對裝甲車上片段做延伸，有斷章取義之嫌
