財政部指出於指定時間符合發放資格者，每人均得領取6千元，規劃發放方式採「登記入帳」、「ATM領現」、「郵局領現」、「直接入帳」及「造冊發放」等5種方式，方便民眾領取。

普發現金具體發放時程，俟特別預算案完成法定程序後，由行政院指定發放日。在行政院尚未公布發放前，外界利用普發現金訊息之詐騙手法，請民眾務必留意，避免受騙上當，若有疑義請撥打165反詐騙電話。
