內政委員會召委黃昭順表示，她其實並不支持宗教基本法，憲法本就賦予人民有信仰的自由，不應用法律凌駕宗教，這次是因宗教界對政府不放心、法界人士有不同意見，她也接到滿多意見對草案內容存疑，經與宗教界團體聯絡後認為，應用更多時間討論未來如何保障宗教。
