衛生局長許以霖說明個案為25歲男性，2022年6月16日自德國返台，20日因發燒、喉嚨痛、肌肉痠痛、身體出現紅疹以及鼠蹊部淋巴腫大，21日至診所就醫，22日和醫院視訊看診後再行前往醫院進行全血、血清、咽喉擦拭液、水疱液採檢送驗，研判為猴痘確診病例，收治醫院治療。
