PrEP為暴露愛滋病毒前預防性投藥，「不是」健保給付項目：健保僅給付治療愛滋感染者，並不給付給PrEP服藥者。而預防性投藥可以預防愛滋感染，有效降低新感染數，降低感染後的醫療支出。
