食藥署出面釋疑，並說明不沾鍋鍋內塗有一層「鐵氟龍(Teflon)」，具有耐高低溫(-190~260℃)、耐蝕性(抗酸抗鹼)等性能，並表示「不沾鍋鍋內塗料中含有全氟辛酸（PFOA），此物質加熱至327度時，溶出機率增加，可能造成肝臟損傷、影響內分泌系統，被國際癌症研究機構（IARC）列為第2A類可能致癌物質，雖對試驗動物具致癌性，但對人體的致癌性尚未證實。」
