假兼職真詐騙會在各大社群網站、臉書、社團、LINE 群組、IG、留言板廣告「打字員」的訊息，當你加入了詐騙集團的 LINE 帳號之後，就會開始收到各種指示，並要求你先匯款一筆錢，稱為「工作保險」的款項，說是為了防止新手跑單，有些人也因此受騙上當先匯款了，甚至還有人為了成為「高級會員」，又另外匯了更多款項。
