異丙醇（Isopropyl alcohol）有較不刺激的優點，但是在殺菌上比乙醇於某些方面稍弱些，文獻說對於殺病毒上還是有功能，所以可以作為替代使用。另外，異丙醇的稀釋倍數與酒精相同，70～75%為適當濃度。
