可參閱行政院即時新聞澄清網站，內容提到政府為充來台觀光人次數，連轉機、過境都算1個境外觀光客，越南姑娘返鄉回來也算1個一節，交通部觀光局澄清如下 :
我國來臺旅客人次計算原則，係依內政部移民署提供之入境統計數據，「持外籍護照入境通關者」、「大陸港澳入境許可證」、「長期旅居境外之華僑」為列入來臺旅客統計範疇。外籍配偶已取得中華民國護照者及轉機旅客未入境通關者，「均不會納入」。另外國人在臺轉機，因未通關入境，也未計入來臺旅客統計數據。
