不建議民眾揉預防接種的打針處，是因為去揉打針處可能會讓它反應更劇烈、紅腫的機會更大，頂多擴大出血瘀青。
打針的傷口即使揉了也不致於造成凝血反應或血栓，跟AZ血栓沒關係。
但曾有「肝素引起血小板低下症」、「血栓合併血小板低下症候群」患者需注意，應盡量免接種「滅活減毒」、「腺病毒」的疫苗，例如AZ、嬌生疫苗，改接種mRNA、次單位蛋白疫苗。
