健保局官員說，林員1月27日至3月3日在北榮住院，2月4日動過脊椎及神經移植手術，4月2日又住進北榮迄今。健保局4月6日收到苗栗警方來函，但病患住院治療或復健需要主治醫師認定，4月8日已去函北榮提供病患的病情，再研議能否專案處理。
