本日（24）指揮中心宣布，收到日本消息，上週自台返日的一名日籍女學生確診武漢肺炎。指揮中心也緊急將該名個案的接觸者，共140名進行管理。

指揮中心進一步說明，經與日方密切聯繫，確認該名個案為日本籍20多歲女性，今（2020）年2月底自日本入境台灣，於南部就學，在台期間多於南部地區活動，上週搭機返回日本，於入境日本時採檢檢出新型冠狀病毒陽性；個案無症狀，由日方安排防疫旅館隔離中。至於是否有不明感染源，仍要等待調查。
