①此研究「並未」實驗COVID-19的病毒在「銅」、「紙箱」表面存活時間。
②依此Lancet通訊評論內文，不鏽鋼、塑膠在「第四天」都還能偵測到病毒量。(而非轉傳內容所說只存活三天)
■另，此研究的確發現第七天仍可在外科口罩外層偵測到COVID-19的病毒，因此潘教授建議「盡量不重用口罩」；而我國食藥署雖也認為一次性使用是原則，但特定情形下建議用電鍋乾熱消毒重覆使用。

香港確已刊登該則期刊，新冠病毒離開人體後的活性的確仍可能有數小時至數天(依不同材質有差異)，保護自己的方式以避免接觸、勤洗手為主。如果是碰到銅器的話、例如一塊錢硬幣，病毒存活時間最多4個小時。
