豆漿含有大豆異黃酮(isoflavones)為植物性的雌激素,或稱「類」雌激素,在某種程度上它可削弱人體內真正的雌激素功能,進而減低雌激素刺激乳房細胞,顯示黃豆可能預防乳癌發生;但也有研究顯示,大豆食物可能刺激腫瘤增生,增加乳癌復發機率。因此喝豆漿過量容易得乳癌這樣的說法,目前醫學上尚未有定論。
