臺北市立聯合醫院陽明院區藥劑科藥師許舒涵表示，胃食道逆流治療可分為非藥物及藥物治療，臨床上證實有效的非藥物治療包含：減重、睡覺時墊高床頭，且於睡前2到3小時避免飲食、減少攝取刺激性食物（包含高油脂含量食物、咖啡因、巧克力、辛辣食物及碳酸飲料等等）。而藥物治療常見的藥品選擇包含：制酸劑、潰瘍保護型介面活性劑、組織胺阻斷劑、氫離子幫浦抑制劑。臨床上，醫師會根據病人胃食道逆流的嚴重程度選擇適當的藥品並調整藥品使用。
