清德競總發言人提出三大事證駁斥，
第一、賴清德從未與任何人共同經營任何公司，也未曾經營「海燕藥品公司」，根據經濟部商業司商工登記資料，也並無「海燕藥品公司」的資料。
第二，「新藥審查業務」主要是由尚未改制為衛福部前的衛生署，其轄下之藥政處，以及當時尚未廢除的「藥物審議委員會」管轄，並非立委職權範圍，賴清德擔任立委期間，也從未參與過相關業務。
