美國癌症研究所（American Institute of Cancer Research, AICR）2018年的數據指出，全球大腸癌病發率的排行榜前25名國家中沒有台灣。
此外，WHO大腸癌病發率的世界排名中沒有單獨台灣的數據，只有中國，排名52名。大腸癌的病發率區域分佈圖可以看出，台灣並不在高病發區。
