影片中的犯罪手法，是在ATM的插卡處、輸入密碼處裝設裝置，取得提款卡的磁條資料和密碼，再透過製造偽卡來盜取被害人的銀行存款。財金公司指出，目前台灣提款卡已晶片化，晶片無法透過機器側錄，因此這種犯罪手法現在在台灣發生的機率非常低。
