台中捷運綠線已於11月6日獲交通部核准營運，捷運將於2020年12月19日舉行正式通車完工典禮，當作市民的耶誕禮物與新年禮物，兌現對市民的承諾。她指出，通車前將先自11月16日至12月15日搶先試營運，期間民眾只要持電子票證，即可在全線18個車站免費自由試乘，歡迎大家試乘。
