交通部表示，通過道路交通管理處罰條例部分條文修正案，強化停讓保護行人、提高無照駕駛罰則及通盤檢討違規記點制度、加重危險駕駛罰則等。修正條文將嚴重超速修正為超過最高時速40公里，提高罰鍰上限提高至36,000元；危險駕駛態樣增加在高速公路違規迴車、倒車、逆向行駛行為，依法應負刑責時可加重二分之一。
